The Civic Voices Fellowship works to mobilize youth throughout the Puget Sound and Southwest WA region to vote through traditional campaign outreach, community-based, and relational organizing tactics. Fellows will work in direct partnership with a local organization, on exciting races for progressive candidates, and to mobilize their own networks using both time-tested relational organizing in combination with new technology. This will be the second year of the program.
For the 2020 cycle, the Civic Voices Fellowship is open to youth in South King County, Pierce County, and Clark County
As a fellow, you will:
-
Learn a robust Civic Engagement and Advocacy Curriculum in partnership with leading progressive organizations across the state
-
Work to support the most progressive elected officials running for office in 2020
-
Work to activate your own network of friends and community members to turn out to vote
The will run from July 20th, 2020 - November 6th, 2020. Applicants can expect to work between 10-15 hours per week on average and fellows will receive a stipend for their work.
