Fighting climate change has always been one of our top priorities at Fuse. We focus on supporting state policy reforms that reduce carbon emissions, strengthening opposition to fossil fuel exports at the state and local level, and phasing out the use of coal power in Washington’s energy mix.
Fuse has been an active member of the successful campaigns to stop a coal export facility in Whatcom County, prevent Shell Oil from increasing oil trains through Anacortes, end Puget Sound Energy’s use of coal power, and much more. Fuse is now working closely with the Alliance for Jobs and Clean Energy to build grassroots support for a cap on carbon emissions. The Fuse Spokane Local Council, in particular, is taking a lead role in the Eastern Washington outreach.
